1. Everyone has the right to teach and learn without interference.
2. Everyone respects the rights, feelings, and property of others.
3. Everyone is in the right place at the right time.
4. Everyone has the right to a safe environment.
School-Wide Rules
1. Rio Calaveras students must have a pass if they are out of their classrooms.
2. Rio Calaveras students must walk on the sidewalks and hardcourt.
3. No 7th 8th grade students on school grounds before 7:45 am.
No K-6 grade students on school grounds before 8:00 am.
4. Before school, Rio Calaveras students must enter by the gate on the north gate side.
5. Before and after school, there is no loitering around the school building or playground.
6. Rio Calaveras students do not disturb other classes.
7. Rio Calaveras students do not chew gum on school grounds or in the classrooms.
Cafeteria Rules and Consequences
The right to eat in our school cafeteria is a privilege. The cafeteria should be a pleasant and safe place for children to have breakfast and lunch. The following rules have been adopted to insure that our cafeteria will have the correct atmosphere for the children:
1. Rio Calaveras students will enter the cafeteria in a straight line.
2. Rio Calaveras students will stay in alphabetical order.
3. Rio Calaveras students will eat quietly.
4. Rio Calaveras students will stay in their seat with feet under table.
5. Rio Calaveras students will keep their hands to themselves.
6. Rio Calaveras students will keep their area neat and clean.
7. Rio Calaveras students will raise their hand when they are finished.
8. When excused, Rio Calaveras students may leave.
9. Rio Calaveras students will walk out of the cafeteria after throwing away trash.
Playground Rules
1. Rio Calaveras students are to play ONLY in the assigned areas at all times with adult supervision.
2. Rio Calaveras students do not fight (no kicking, hitting, slapping).
3. Rio Calaveras students do not play or loiter at the drinking fountain or the restrooms.
4. Rio Calaveras students do not play on the schoolyard fences, trees, or participate in any other nuisance
activities.

6. Rio Calaveras students do not throw objects such as rocks, grass, dirt clods or bark.
7. Rio Calaveras students follow directions of all playground supervisors and teachers.

9. Rio Calaveras students get drinks and use the restrooms at the beginning of their recess.
10. Rio Calaveras students do not bring toys or games to school.
11. Rio Calaveras students do not play games that involve tackling, wrestling, or carrying each other.
12. Rio Calaveras students stop playing when the first bell rings.
Playground Equipment Rules
1. Down only on the slide on your bottom.
2. No chicken on the bars and rings
3. No jumping off of the platforms.
4. Do not throw the wood chips.
5. No cherry drops from the bars.
6. No jumping up and down on the bridge.
7. One person on the slide at a time.
8. No backpacks in the bark box.
9. Go only one way on the bars (from playground to street).
10. No tag on equipment or in bark box.
