1st Annual Rio Calaveras, Peyton, and Bush Fun Run and Pancake Breakfast was Saturday, November 3, 2012.  The race course began and ended at Rio Calaveras School.  It was a 2.9 mile route which included stops at Bush Elementary and Peyton Elementary.  Participants could walk, run or bike the course.

We had 250 participants for the Fun Run and Pancake Breakfast.  Each participant was entered in a drawing for raffle prizes.  At Peyton School, participants also participated in Jump Rope for Heart.  The pancake breakfast was awesome thanks to Stockton Unified School Districts own Food Service Department.

On November 15, 2012 Rio Calaveras School held it 4th annual Turkey Trot.  Entrance to the turkey trot was either $ 3 dollars or 3 cans of food per participant.   All the money raised and the cans of food brought were donated to the Stockton Food Bank.  For each lap completed of the obstacle course participants received a raffle ticket.  The raffle prizes were donated turkeys.

October 12, 2012 all of the students and staff celebrated Rio Calaveras School’s with a Go Neon Spirit Day and recognition rally for the students who scored a perfect 600 in math and/or science on the 2012 CSTs.  We also recognized the students who moved up one performance band.
