The Rio Calaveras 6th Grade teachers are requesting the following school supplies for your child.

• Pencils (Box of 12#2 lead)
• EXPO Dry-erase markers (Black – no colors, 4 or 5)
• 2 Erasers (Pink Pearl)
• 2 Glue Sticks
• Colored Pencils (set of 24)
• 1 Compass
• One 3-Ring Binder, 1 or 1.5 inch
• 1 Protractor
• 1 thesaurus for home
• Pocket dividers for binder – 4 or 5
• 2 Rulers (inch and cm.) (Home, school)
• 1 dictionary for home
• Yellow  Highlighters
• Pencil Box or equivalent (optional – backpack)
• Graph paper (for home)
• 2 Composition Books – details after open house
• Hand sized closed pencil sharpener
• 1 Flashdrive (no minimum storage requirement)

Suggest:  One copy of E.B. White’s Elements of Style, as a useful home writing reference.

In addition, we would be grateful if you could also help with the following items:

Kleenex, hand sanitizer, Band-Aids, paper towels

Sharpies

Mechanical pencils will be allowed provided students change/refill leads before and after class periods.  If the pencils provide distraction during class, they will be banned for one or two months’ time on a class-wide basis.
